FAQ added to the website today!

Lately I have been receiving a lot of session inquiries and a lot of questions about receiving
just a cd with images from the session.

I have added a FAQ tab on my website for anyone with this question and more.

I get it we live in a digital age, I mean most photographer's don't even use film cameras anymore.  However, just because there isn't a physical film picture being taken by photographers now a days does not mean that our digital images are not products!

Digital images in fact are products. Each image is edited, color corrected or touched up in some way.
If we didn't charge well for digital images or gave them away with each session, we would lose out on income we could have made from a purchase of a print or product of that image.

Professional photographers run a business, just like any other business out there. You may think that
we pocket all the money you pay us for those two hours, but that's not true and our work doesn't end when we turn the camera off and say goodbye. Editing pictures can take hours upon hours. Travel time, post office trips, uploading to galleries, shopping for props for each session or looking online for props.
We also invest it into equipment, lenses, backdrops, props, marketing, and anything to make us stand out
in a world filled with photographers. We also have families and bills to pay.

I love what I do and I can honestly say nothing I have ever done has made me more happy.
I put a lot of time and love into each session I do and yes maybe four years ago when I first started
I did give a cd with images away with each session, but I don't anymore. I've worked to hard to
just give away my work. Photography is an investment and one that not everyone can afford all the time, but when you can it's worth it!

Week 12 of 365 Project.

Spring is here, but not the warmer tempatures yet.
We are anxiously waiting for the warmer weather to come,
so we can spend more time outside!
We did make our way to a little park for some outdoor fun.

Starburst Jelly beans are the best!

Favorite thing to do.

Week 11 of 365 Project.

This past week we had a taste of the warmer weather and definitely took
advantage of it! We brought Kennedy to a small petting zoo that I had been
going to since I was a little girl. She was afraid of the animals at first, but
then warmed up to them and was laughing away. We went to the park and
when the weather got cold again we did some play and exploration with a
simple pot filled with water.

Reading is our favorite thing!

First time at the petting zoo!

Kennedy's new smile! Such a cheese ball :-)

Helping Mommy unpack from our Trader Joes shopping trip.

Water play!

One of my favorite shots from my freelance work this weekend. I had so much fun
capturing the beauty of all the food they had set up. It smelled so good too!

Week 10 of 365 Project.

The dreaded stomach virus had hit our house this past week,
leaving us all out of sorts. Hey at least we didn't get snow like
they were predicting right? This week is a short one because
of being knocked down for so long, but we are all 100% better
and if the virus has hit our house too we feel for you!

Sometimes the point of view makes the picture.

First pigtails!

Self portrait and messing around with the new camera.

Someone copying me :-)

Week Nine of 365 Project.

Week Nine is a black and white week. We spent time with family
and trying to keep warm!

Keeping warm.

Kennedy got her first fat lip, with blood this week. :-( I tried so hard not
to cry in front of her, luckily Daddy came in and saved the day and the swelling
went down after about 18 hours. Poor babe.

Even black and white this grapefruit is beautiful.

My Aunt Maggie came to visit one day this week!

New love.

My favorite model.
